SINGAPORE’S 100 Leading Graduate Employers 2010 debuted yesterday, joining the ranks of Graduates to Industry’s (GTI) global 100 series that is currently ongoing in the UK, Ireland, Germany, Malaysia and Hong Kong.
As Singapore pulls out of the recent global financial crisis, it can be expected that employers will be required to fill key positions to ride on the next growth phase.
Employer brand image is a key factor in attracting the best talent and preventing employees leaving the company.
‘The results of this survey will provide a gauge to employers what our graduates’ views and preferences are in terms of their employers of choice’ said Chaly Mah, president of Singapore Division, CPA Australia and CEO, Deloitte Asia Pacific.
As such, the survey’s results will also provide important information on employers’ potential workforce, allowing them to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of their campus marketing and recruitment.
At the same time, employers could work on enhancing their public image and evaluating their human capital management strategies. This will prove important for employers seeking to attract the cream of the graduate crop.
The survey will be sent directly to students in Singapore universities and is also available online at singapores100.com. Singapore students studying in universities abroad will also be invited to participate.
The findings of the survey will be released at the inaugural Singapore’s 100 Leading Graduate Employers 2010 Awards ceremony, which will be held on Nov 1.
